The Matis hunt by using either bows and arrows or blowguns. The preferred hunting method is using poison darts and blowguns and their favorite prey is monkey. The blowguns measure over four meters long. The darts are tipped with curare, a poison that paralyzes the prey. The Matis are amongst the best blowgun hunters in the world. They can shoot prey from a distance of nearly 50 meters. Matis hunters always carry fire-making tools in their quivers.
